Tennis Score Tracker

Privacy Policy

Last updated 18 September 2026

Tennis Score Tracker is operated by Attrill Publishing Ltd ("we", "us", "our"), a company registered in England and Wales. This policy sets out how we collect, use, and protect your personal data, and what is required of you in return. It governs every club and every member on the platform. By creating an account, you accept it.

Data we collect

To provide the service, we collect:

  • Your name, email address, and, where provided, phone number and gender category
  • Your password, stored only as an irreversible hash - we do not store or have access to the plaintext
  • A profile photo, if you upload one
  • Match scores, tournament registrations, and league standings you take part in
  • Technical data required to authenticate and operate your session

How we use it

Your data is used strictly to:

  • Operate the league or tournament you have joined - divisions, fixtures, scoring, promotion and relegation
  • Send account-critical emails: verification, password resets, and dispute or contact notifications
  • Send tournament update emails, where your club has enabled them
  • Display your name, contact details, and match history to other members of your leagues, so matches can be arranged and results verified
  • Maintain the security and integrity of the service

We do not sell your data. We do not use it for advertising.

Who we share it with

Two infrastructure providers process data on our behalf: Vercel (hosting and file storage) and Neon (our database). Both are bound by their own data protection commitments; data may be processed outside the UK/EEA under appropriate safeguards.

We do not share your data with any other third party. Club administrators can view members' profiles and match history as required to run their league - this access is granted by your club, not by us.

Your obligations regarding other members' data

Through the app you can see other members' names, contact details, and match history. This data is provided solely to arrange matches and verify results. You must not use it for any other purpose, including unsolicited contact, harassment, or onward disclosure to anyone outside the club.

We enforce this. Misuse of another member's data will result in suspension or termination of your account, and may be reported to your club and, where appropriate, the relevant authorities.

Cookies and analytics

We use one essential cookie, required to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. Vercel Analytics provides aggregated, non-identifying usage statistics only.

Retention

  • Account data is retained for as long as your account remains active
  • An unverified account is automatically deleted after 7 days
  • On account deletion, a minimal record is retained where necessary for the integrity of other members' match history - this cannot be waived, since results are shared records
  • Database backups are retained for 14 days as a safeguard, then permanently deleted

Your rights

You are entitled to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and to object to how it is used. Most requests can be actioned directly from your profile page. Unresolved requests, or complaints, can be sent to us using the contact details below, or escalated to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

Children

Accounts must be managed by someone capable of handling their own credentials responsibly. Where a club involves junior players, a parent, guardian, or club administrator is responsible for setting up and overseeing that account.

Changes to this policy

We may amend this policy as the service evolves. Members will be notified of any material change by email or an in-app notice. Continued use of the service after such notice constitutes acceptance.

Questions about this policy, or your data, should be sent to tennisscoretracker@gmail.com.
